We all have something to give. If it is not becoming a foster parent, there are many other ways we can care for and protect vulnerable children.

Support

One of the biggest challenges facing the foster care system is retention. Being a foster parent/family is incredibly rewarding and undeniably difficult. When a foster parent/family feels supported by their community, they are more likely to continue fostering. There are many ways to provide for foster parents and families. Gift cards for meals, clothes, toys, groceries, or a night out are just some ways to lessen the load on those who are fostering.

Volunteer

We work alongside several wonderful organizations that are doing great things in our area. If you would like to volunteer with us or learn about volunteer opportunities within the area, we would love to connect with you to help find the right fit for your abilities and interest.

Another really important way to impact the foster care system for good is to become a Guardian Ad Litem. A GAL works as an advocate for children as they navigate the judicial system. If you are interested in learning more about what is entailed in becoming a Guardian Ad Litem, find out more here:

Getting Licensed

When it comes to licensing, the two primary options are to get licensed through the state or through a private organization. There are specific benefits to both. We are happy to walk with you through the process and discuss the differences between state and private licensing. For more information on state licensing:
